Cheapest Futures Prop Firm Eval: Real Prices After Discounts
The cheapest futures prop firm eval is never the one with the lowest sticker price — it's the one with the lowest street price after the permanent discounts, plus the fees that appear after you pass. Discounts of 30–90% run year-round across this industry under rotating code names; list price is a fiction nobody should pay. This guide ranks real entry costs from our 16-firm research and walks through the hidden line items that make a $39 eval cost more than a $150 one.
The full cost stack, not the headline
What you actually pay to reach a first payout has up to five parts:
- Eval fee — monthly subscription or one-time, at the discounted rate
- Resets — each failed attempt on a monthly plan often rolls into the next month's fee; one-time plans charge per reset
- Activation / PA fee — some firms charge anywhere from $80 to $898 to open the funded account you just earned, usually scaling with account size
- Data fees — a few firms pass exchange data costs through on funded accounts
- Payout minimums and buffers — not a fee, but capital of yours the firm holds back before the first withdrawal
A dirt-cheap eval with a several-hundred-dollar activation fee and a $2,000 payout buffer is frequently the most expensive path to actually getting paid. Run the whole stack before comparing — the activation column in the table below is part of the price.

From our research, the recommended firms with the lowest discounted eval cost at the ~50K tier — with activation fees shown so the stack is visible:
| Firm | Score | Eval (~50K) | Activation | Discount norm |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MyFundedFutures | 9.0 | $104.5 | $0 | CLUB is now the single site-wide code at 50% off, and it replaces both the previously auto-applied 50% promo and the separate 20%-off EOD code. It is pre-applied to every checkout link on the site and halves the list price on Rapid, Rapid EOD, Builder and Pro alike. No date-based expiry is published anywhere, but as of 2026-08-26 the code is no longer unlimited: the homepage banner was rewritten to 'No more subscriptions. One-time purchases are here. + 4 uses of 50% off with code CLUB', so CLUB now carries a published cap of 4 uses per trader. As of 2026-09-01 no MyFundedFutures surface publishes any limited-time framing at all: the phrase 'here for a limited time only' is now absent from the Rapid EOD plan page too, whose hero disclaimer reads only 'One-time purchase, nothing to cancel', and 'Promotions every month' appears nowhere. CLUB did not rotate at the month boundary; the banner CMS record is byte-identical to 2026-08-26. |
| Take Profit Trader | 9.0 | $102 | $130 one-time — waived for life on accounts opened under the current discount | Code NOFEE40: 40% off for life on that test account's monthly subscription, plus the $130 PRO activation fee waived for life on it (delivered as a $130 credit, not an auto-skip). The waiver survives unlimited resets, there is no cap on how many no-fee accounts you can hold, and test accounts bought with credits are excluded. NOFEE40 publishes NO end date, and its FAQ still answers verbatim that there is no time limit on when the benefits expire, so this remains a standing offer rather than a countdown. One caveat as of 2026-08-26: that FAQ was re-edited to add limited-time framing ('during this NOFEE40 limited-time promo', 'during the promo window') without adding any date, which is the first signal TPT has given that the offer is finite. TPT's own worked example fixes the depth exactly: NOFEE40 on a $50k test is '$102 flat' (170 x 0.60). The deeper 50AND3 flash sale (50% off plus the same waiver) ran 12 to 25 August 2026 and is now over; the banner reverted to NOFEE40 on 26 August. 50% is the promotional ceiling TPT has shown, 40% is the standing floor. |
| Topstep | 8.0 | $32 | $149 one-time (Standard path); $0 on No-Activation-Fee path | 30-50% first-month promos near-constant (champions35 = 35%) |
| TradeDay | 7.0 | $59 | $0 (eliminated in the 2.0 relaunch) | Code TDNEW: 55% off, site-published on 2026-08-19. 150K Fast Pass lands at $225/mo (45% consistency, 3 minimum days) and no activation fee at any size. 50% affiliate evergreen as the fallback. |
| FundedNext Futures | 7.0 | $70 | $0 | Rapid Pro and Rapid Daily are now priced DIFFERENTLY under coupon RAPID. Rapid Pro first purchase (new Futures users) 50%/46%/44% = $79.99/$159.99/$279.99; recurring 46%/41%/40% = $84.99/$174.99/$299.99. Rapid Daily first purchase 50%/43%/44% = $79.99/$169.99/$279.99; recurring 43%/36%/40% = $89.99/$189.99/$299.99. Rapid Pro with the Daily Loss Limit add-on runs $59.99/$119.99/$229.99 first purchase and $64.99/$134.99/$249.99 recurring. Flex now carries ONE coupon, AUGFLEX: 47% off the first five purchases then 40% from the sixth ($69.99/$129.99/$249.99 then $79.99/$149.99/$289.99). The separate 55%-off-for-new-users offer was RETIRED on or before 2026-09-01 and has been removed from typicalDiscount: its code NEW55 and all three of its price points ($59.99/$112.50/$217.80) are gone from the Flex page, its help article now 301s to the Arabic locale, and the Ongoing Offers collection dropped from 4 articles to 3 with that entry removed. Note AUGFLEX kept its August-branded name into September and did NOT roll the way Tradeify's monthly code does. No coupon publishes an expiry; all say 'Until further notice'. ALL QUANTITY AND BULK TIERS HAVE BEEN REMOVED from the Rapid, Flex and Legacy pages as of 2026-08-25; the 15%-from-the-5th-account and 30%-from-the-10th-account rows recorded on 2026-08-22 are gone. Legacy is sold at a single list price with no coupon and no bulk tier, so it now carries no discount of any kind. |
| Earn2Trade | 6.0 | $75 | $139 one-time (LiveSim), deducted from first withdrawal | Live official promo: 50% OFF all subscriptions for the first 90 days (3 months) plus one free reset with every evaluation, code 50PLUSRESET ('Labor Day Special'), running 2026-09-01 to 2026-09-30 (EOD CT). Standard pricing resumes after 90 days. It succeeded NEXTLEVEL50 at the same 50% depth, so street prices did not move, but two terms did: the discount window shortened from 120 days to 90, and the free reset is materially new on Gauntlet Mini, where the plans API shows free_resets 0 on all four GAU packages (TCP already carried 1). The promo cuts dynamic reset prices to TCP25 $65, TCP50 $85, GAU50 $75, down from $100; fixed resets on the 100K to 200K accounts are unaffected. BlackArrow One is now free with all evaluations. |
| Top One Futures | 6.0 | $39 | Elite Access: one-time and size-scaled, $139 (25K) / $189 (50K) / $259 (100K) / $359 (150K), confirmed on both the help centre fee article and the live checkout cards. Elite Daily V2: none at any size. Instant Sim Funded: none (no evaluation stage). The '$149 flat at every size' figure documents the legacy Elite Sim Funded line, which is no longer sold, and applies only to grandfathered accounts. | The firm's own site code 2.0 takes 55% off across the range, which is what puts Elite Daily V2, Ignite and Instant Sim Funded at their street prices. A separate buy-one-get-one-free offer, code BOGO, runs on Elite Access only, behind a client-side countdown with no end date published in the page source. Elite Access itself is effectively $39 at any size under the standing promo. |
| Apex Trader Funding | 5.0 | $24.9 | One-time and non-renewing: Intraday PA $59 at every size; EOD PA $119 (25K), $139 (50K), $149 (100K on Rithmic and WealthCharts but $139 on Tradovate), $159 (150K). Level 1 data is included. Discount codes never apply to activation. Apex also sells a parallel No-Activation-Fee variant of each eval at a higher list price with $0 PA activation. | Code SAVENOW: exactly 90% off any size evaluation, applied as list price x 0.10 by Apex's own product picker, with no lower tier anywhere in the live config. The promo carries a published expiry of 2026-09-08 23:59 ET in the homepage promo config, matched exactly by the on-page countdown (data-end-time 1788926340). Treat that date as soft: this is the second week running that a published expiry has lapsed and Apex has simply pushed the same code, at the same depth, out by exactly 604,800 seconds (2026-08-25, then 2026-09-01, then 2026-09-08), so the pattern so far is a rolling weekly extension rather than a real deadline or a successor code. The coupon page still publishes no expiry of its own beyond a live countdown and no evergreen wording. New signups only, never valid on resets or on PA activation, no backdating and no balance transfers from existing evals. |
| Elite Trader Funding | 5.0 | $39 | $87/mo on every Elite Sim-Funded account, or a one-time lifetime activation from the help-centre table: 75K and below $177 on 1-Step, EOD and Static; 100K to 150K $247 (1-Step), $257 (EOD), $177 (Static), $307 (Diamond Hands); 250K and above $277 (1-Step only). $47 if the Double Down Deal (3D) add-on is bought at checkout, and paying two months at a discount covers three. Fast Track includes the first month of funded activation and is ineligible for one-time activation. DTF has no activation fee. Professional traders pay $128 per exchange. | 80% off the FIRST MONTH of any evaluation except DTF, renewing at list from month 2. ETF's own promo page still advertised this on 2026-08-22 with no current expiration date, but no discount is set on any product in ETF's store and the promo page's own list prices disagree with the store, so the offer could not be confirmed at checkout. The 90% figure quoted around this firm is NOT a promotion: it is a paid checkout add-on that issues a 90%-off coupon for your NEXT evaluation of the same type, and only after you pass and activate. Deeper holiday sales appear periodically. |
| Funded Futures Network (FFN) | 4.0 | $80 | $0. Neither current product charges one: Standard MAX and STEADY both skip the Exhibition stage, and FFN's fee article no longer lists an activation fee at all. The old $120 per account applies only to legacy OG accounts, which are closed to new purchase. Professional data is $126/mo per exchange and applies to LIVE funded accounts ONLY, not sim, deducted from the account balance rather than charged to your card. | 50% off, live on the storefront today and effectively the permanent street price; applies to both Standard MAX monthly and STEADY one-time pricing |
When paying more is the cheaper decision
Eval price buys attempts; rules decide survival. If the cheap firm runs an intraday trailing drawdown and the pricier one runs end-of-day, the pricier one is often cheaper per funded account achieved — you'll burn fewer attempts. The same logic applies to consistency rules standing between you and a payout. Cross-reference this list with prop firms with EOD drawdown before deciding on price alone.
Never pay list price
Every firm on this site has a permanently rotating discount — the verified coupons page tracks the current best code per firm. If a checkout shows list price, you're missing a code, not shopping in a discount-free window.
Quick answers
What is the absolute cheapest way into a funded futures account?
Flash-sale one-time evals can dip under $50 for large nominal sizes — but they usually pair with strict rules and activation fees. The cheapest sustainable path is a discounted monthly eval at a firm whose rules you can actually survive.
Are prop firm discounts ever fake?
The discount percentages are real at checkout, but 'limited time' framing is theater — sales are permanent under rotating names. Some third-party coupon sites also claim deeper discounts than any working code delivers; verify at checkout before paying.
Do cheap evals have worse payout terms?
Not automatically, but the correlation is real: aggressive eval pricing is often subsidized by activation fees, buffers, or stricter funded rules. Check the firm's review before assuming a cheap eval is a cheap account.
